Best Volca beat machine for synthpop?

Ok so I'm experimenting with synths lately and I've been taken to the 80's road lol

I already have a Volca Keys and I want to add a beat machine suitable for 80's synthpop.

Which one of the Volcas should do it better? Beats, Drum or Sample?
