Powering and Amplifying Synths outdoors

Here in Portland, OR we're experiencing our first beautiful sunny week of the season. Its get me thinking about playing music outdoors. Busking the park and whatnot. What is everyone here using for portable power supply and PA solutions? I'm thinking about buying some sort of lightweight portable PA this summer.
