Updating Firmware on Pamela's Pro Workout on a Mac

Has anyone had success in updating Pam's Pro Workout on a Mac to the recently updated firmware version 1.20? For the life of me, I cannot get any of the 3 Macs (Ventura and Monterrey, 1 M1, 1 M2 and one Intel based), to recognize the pam's device when plugging it in. I'm certain that I am using a good cable as it works for an external ssd drive. I also tried the synch method and the "dfu - util" method. Nada. I'm stuck.
