How Do You Prepare You Studio For A Move?

Hello synthesizer friends. I have am in the process of moving. How do you go about preparing for move? I have multiple hardware synths, drum machines, studio monitors, rack mount gear, mountains of cables etc. Some synths/gear have hard cases (or original boxes) which makes it easy to transport them. Do you put all the power supplies in one box? One big box for cables? Every other piece of gear in it's original box (if you have it)? I'm moving about an hour away and making trips in my sedan and my dad's minivan.

Do you have any other hot tips?

I did a search and couldn't find any posts related to this. Thanks in advance for your time and help!
