I have a BCR2000 basically gathering dust atm.
I’ve been tempted by the Zaquencer option but I don’t need another sequencer really. (In any case I’d wait for the semi-mythical BCR3200 to come out and get built in cv outputs.) What I’d really like to do would be to turn those knobs into something useful by getting them to send control CV to some of my tinier modules. I do have a 16n which basically does this (probably better), but the prospect of 32 knobs sitting there waiting to twiddle assorted modules is appealing. The problem is finding a way to get 32 midi-cv converters in some sort of affordable package. (I think this is unreasonable tbh!). And I could probably just get another couple of 16n controllers for the price and hassle.
It might be that hoping to send lots of cc into cv this way is not a bright move any way. I think there would need to be midi host in the mix somewhere too.
Perhaps I should just map a load of DAW fx plugin parameters to the BCR? I have multiple separate channels out from the modular to the DAW that could each get various fun fx inserts so this might be the most effective/least hassle option. (It occurs to me that this is kind of what its original purpose was, anyway!) How would you use a BCR?
