XAOC Zadar channel A not working?

Hi everyone,

Im somewhat of a beginner in eurorack and was wondering if I could get your help. I recently purchased a XAOC Zadar and was trying to patch into a VCA (tangle quartet), but it seems as if the first channel on the Zadar isn’t responding when I patch from OUT A into it he level IN on the Tangle Quartet. The light on the TQ doesn’t turn on, but when I patch an envelope from the other channels on the zadar, it works as the lights turn on on the TQ and I can hear the envelope opening and and closing.

Is this normal? should I edit something in the Zadar menu or do I have a faulty unit?
