What’s the best Midi device to sync all my synths and drum machines?

Hello synth friends, i have several synths and drum machines and i want to sync them all. I would use the Mpc one or Ableton as my brain where i would send all the sequences and patterns to the devices.

I checked out some Midi interfaces and would like to know which one would be good for me. I need like 10 midi ports , maybe you guys have some recommendations.

Should i buy a Midi thru box or a Midi interface, what are you using for this purpose?
