Ways to collaborate on modular?

Has anyone come up with any ideas on how to make this work? I’m thinking specifically modular artists that aren’t in the same location.

With music made in a daw it’s so easy to send stems/sessions back and forth. Interested to hear if anyone has any creative ways of filling this void within modular?

I’ve been thinking about recording gate patterns to send back and forth but this doesn’t seem quite enough to me...
