What is the best Prophet Hardware Synth to purchase

The studio i work out of has the prophet 6 and I've taken a liking. Seems to be around 2k USD. I know Prophet's have been around for a while and my question may be silly because each version of the prophet probably has different characteristics etc... In your opinion which prophet is the most sought after, and which is the best bang for your buck?
