What does the color knob exactly do for each waveform on the Roland System-1?

What does the color knob exactly do for each waveform on the Roland System-1?

In the manual it says that the color modulation varies for each waveform, but I can't seem to find a list of what it actually is that it does. I can guess some of the modulations based on the sound, but it would be really nice to know the exact list of modulation targets. Has someone figured this out somewhere?
