Syncing Grandmother to Logic Pro X

The result of what I’d like is to press record on Logic and have the Grandmother play one of its sequences, which would be recorded in Logic.

I have been able to hook up a Grandmother, Minilogue, and Volca sample to a beat step pro and achieve this, so I have a clue about how to connect things.

But in this instance, have not been able to do it with just the Grandmother.

Would be grateful for any advice or direction to to any links.
