how can I make my rack more interesting?

hello, I'm planning on getting into eurorack and need a little help so I thought I'd come here.

I've been sketching out a small system on modular grid for the past few weeks and I had got something that looked pretty good to me, but now i'm thinking it might be a little boring, like it's just a normal synth but I have to patch it first.

I've got 8hp and about $200 to spare; is there anything i can add to spice things up?

btw I'm building my case so if I need more the 8hp I can make it bigger, though i would like to keep it on the smaller side. thanks.
