Roland TR-8S - possible to load samples without SD card?

In the title. Is it possible to load samples onto the TR-8S onboard memory without using an SD card? Through USB, for instance? I know cards are cheap, it would just be nice to be able to do it without the box's weird formatting/sample management issues. Cheers.
