op-1 + midi controller

I'm wondering how I can connect my midi controller (Nektar Impact LX49+) to the OP-1. I have a USB2.0 cable, macbook pro, the usb mini that came with the op-1, and a usbc to usb mini cable

Also, will this allow the op-1 to read velocity?
