Switch Pioneer RMX 1000 vs Octatrack?

Hi, bit of a weird Q but I’d like to ask for some opinions. I have an rmx 1000 which can do some beat repeats, filter swipes, reverb/delay stuff and kill EQs. On top of that it can even record a loop so I can transition to another song and fade it in.

It’s pretty straight forward. There are just 2 things I don’t like:

  • The sound - filter and effects sound very commercial
  • The BPM sync - works via audio detection

So since the Octatrack is also a strong performance mixer, would you guys recommend switching the devices?

Can I use a stereo and 2 mono signals as an input for the Octatrack? Is it too complex for what I want?
