Arturia Microfreak sounds bad synced to fl studio 20

I dont know anything about synths as this is my first one and i just dived right into it. Anyway, i’ve stumbled across my first problem which is that it sounds so awful on FL Studio, like FL Studio has put an eq on it making it sound all muffled missing a whole lot of frequencies. I have plugged it into my computer with a usb cable and an output to input cable connected to my Focusrite sound card input 2, and thats it. When listening to the synth through the soundcard or the synth itself it sounds great but as soon as i start playing with it on FL it sounds, as said, muffled and weird. Any suggestions?
