How to do a crystal castles (alice glass) vocal effect?

Hey! I hope some of you can give me some pointers, i’m trying to achieve a vocal effect like in these songs.

I can’t tell if it’s just distorted? pitched down? vocoded? something i would never even think of? Thanks to anyone who helps!
