Synth module box for leads and stuff

I just bought a Yamaha CP88, but would like to have more fun sounds too with it as ive gotten very used to messing around with my cheap plastic almost toylike 80's-90's yamaha synths (if u know the type of thing I mean)

The solution I am looking for is to have some midi box where you could plug the cable in and get an analog output with samples. Preferably the thingy would be such that I could also change the sounds that are in there so I could customize the heck outta the thing. If you have any suggestions please comment!
