Anyone used an external sequencer with an SR-16/18? How’d that go?

I have a Drumbrute Impact and a Digitone as potential sequencers, and an SR-18 collecting dust in a closet. Kinda curious how it might sound to sequence the SR-18 with a more capable sequencer. Anyone tried it?
