module recommendations for rhythmic gating? mutable streams?

Hello!

I would like to have a go at rhythmically gating chords. an example: bicep - opal https://youtu.be/Ypq0iYaZJSA

I gather the best way to do this is to send envelope pulses to a gate module of some sort. is mutable streams suitable? any other recommendations are welcome
