Are there reasons to choose clouds over beads?

Considering getting beads, as it’s presented like the updated version of clouds. However, I keep on hearing negative things about it, especially concerning the wave folder. Lots of them popping up second hand as well. So I’m wondering: is clouds in any way preferable to beads?
