Behringer system 55 + custom as first synth

Dear Community,

after selling all my hardware a few years ago I would like to get back into composing/producing again. I used to own quite a few hardware synths which were great for specific "sounds" but not so much in my eyes for sound design its self.

Moving to Modular - I have been configuring various systems over at modulargrid. And after comparing cost/benefit, the system 55 seems an amazing proposition. I aim to add the Strymon Magneto, Starlab and the 4ms spherical wavetable navigator.

So the question to the modular experience community is, how "deep" do you think the system 55 can be in the long run in terms of sound design and soundtrack/ambient. Does anyone have experience with the synthesizer it was built after? - Yes? or do I build a fully modular system?

Thanks a lot for any feedback in advance!
