How to boost CV? (Buchla Red Panel)

Hello

I am interested in the Buchla Red Panel 158 VCO, however, don't have enough space in my rack for the 156 CV Processor, but I heard that the VCO doesn't get proper CV / pitch (the signal is arriving to weak) from regular sequencers and thus has to run through the CV Processor module to "get a boost" or something.

Could I recreate this step with a simple offsetting (up) of the pitch CV? I would really like a solution for this, as I think the 158 sounds brilliant!
