Yamaha Montage/Modx FM-X engine possible to recreate wavetable type sounds? - SynthWizard - 10-13-2021 Yamaha Montage/Modx FM-X engine possible to recreate wavetable type sounds?

Hi, about two years ago I decided to dive into synthesis. Recently I’ve been experimenting on the FM-X engine that is in yamaha’s Modx synth. Was wondering if it’s at all possible to make something similar to serum dubstep style growls and such? I’m aware that serum is wavetable and Fm-x is (obviously) Fm, but I heard that the original skrillex growls were made in fm8. My question is, with enough brain power, is it possible? A detailed explanation would be nice if someone has the time to answer my question. Thank you!

submitted by /u/ripmangoman
[link] [comments] |
