I bought an ES-8, Do I need "floating ring" cables?

<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>What the title says: I ordered an Expert Sleepers ES8 and I have heard both that it needs floating ring and that it doesn't.</p> <p>The User Manual doesn't mention them and I having a hard time finding an answer on MuffWiggler.<br/> However the manual says:</p> <ul> <li>Output connections: 8x 3.5mm <strong>TS</strong> jacks, DC-coupled</li> <li>Analogue inputs: 4x 3.5mm <strong>TS</strong> jacks, DC-coupled</li> </ul> <p>My understanding is that Floating ring = <strong>TRS</strong>, and regular Eurorack patch cables = <strong>TS,</strong> but I'm a noob. Does anyone know?</p> </div><!-- SC_ON --> submitted by <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/kokosnaut"> /u/kokosnaut </a> <br/> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/modular/comments/nqkwfj/i_bought_an_es8_do_i_need_floating_ring_cables/">[link]</a></span> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/modular/comments/nqkwfj/i_bought_an_es8_do_i_need_floating_ring_cables/">[comments]</a></span>
